Release Notes what's new in MyPlate

Attachments on your tasks are now stored on MyPlate’s own servers — kept private and served only to people who can see the task. Nothing about how you upload or open files changes.

• Private by default. Files aren’t reachable by any public link — the only way to a file is through MyPlate, after a permission check.
• New “Copy link” button. Need to send someone a file who isn’t on the task? Copy a temporary sharing link that works for about an hour, then expires on its own.
• Same uploads and previews. Drag-and-drop, image thumbnails, and downloads all work exactly as before.

Your task lists now show which tasks have time logged against them — without opening a thing.

• A clock on every timed task. A new clock column sits right next to the attachment indicator on My Tasks, Team Tasks, and Shared Tasks. If a task has any tracked time, its clock lights up.
• Hover for the total. Point at the clock to see how much time has been logged on that task (a running timer counts too).
• On mobile as well. Task cards show the same clock with a short “time tracked” label.

We’ve made MyPlate’s email delivery more resilient.

• Automatic retries. If a notification can’t be sent the moment it’s triggered — for example a brief hiccup reaching our mail service — MyPlate now quietly tries again a few minutes later instead of giving up. You don’t need to do anything.

The result: fewer missed invitations, reminders and password-reset emails.

We’ve strengthened the security of our sign-up page.

• A quick human check when you create an account. A lightweight, privacy-friendly verification now runs on the sign-up form to keep automated spam accounts out. Most people won’t have to do anything — it usually happens automatically in the background.

The result: fewer junk accounts and a safer, cleaner MyPlate for real members.

MyPlate can now tap you on the shoulder at just the right moment.

• Task reminders. Open any task and add as many reminders as you like — each one fires at the time you pick, in your timezone, by email, push notification, or both.
• Push notifications. Get real notifications on your phone or computer, just like a native app. Turn them on under My Account > Push Notifications. On iPhone or iPad, first add MyPlate to your Home Screen (Share → Add to Home Screen), then enable notifications from inside the app.
• Everywhere you work. Reminders are also in the MyPlate API and available to your connected AI assistants.

Sharing a task just got quicker.

• Suggestions as you type. The “Share with (email)” box now offers people you’re already connected to — anyone you’ve shared a task with, anyone who’s shared one with you, and your teammates.
• Pick or type. Filter the list as you type and choose with a click or the arrow keys — or just type any email address, exactly as before.
• No more unhelpful autofill. Your browser will no longer try to fill in its own saved addresses (like your own) there.

This morning’s Power Search now works outside the app too.

• In the API. A new GET /v1/search endpoint runs the same fuzzy, relevance-ranked search across every task your key can see — titles, descriptions, notes, file names, and people — in one call. Full details in the API reference.
• In your AI assistant. Assistants connected over MCP get a new search_tasks tool, so you can just ask: “Find that task about the invoice” or “What am I working on with Mike?” — typos and nicknames included.
• Same results everywhere. The header search box, the API, and your assistant all share one engine, so they always agree.

There’s a new search box in the header, and it looks everywhere.

• One search, all your tasks. Personal tasks, tasks shared with you, and your team tasks come back in a single relevance-ranked list.
• It reads the whole task. Titles, descriptions, notes, attached file names — even the names of the people a task is assigned to or shared with.
• Close counts. Typos and partial words still match, and common nicknames are understood — searching for “Mike” finds tasks involving “Michael”.
• Best matches first. Results are scored, with title hits ranked above matches buried in notes or files, and your search words highlighted.

Your AI assistant can now connect to MyPlate directly from its own settings — no API key copy-pasting needed.

• Works where you chat. Add MyPlate as a custom connector in the Claude apps (web, desktop, and mobile) or in ChatGPT, and it’s available in every conversation.
• Sign in, approve, done. Connecting uses the industry-standard OAuth flow: you log in to MyPlate, review what the assistant will be able to do, and approve.
• You stay in control. Each connection shows up on your API Keys page, where you can revoke it at any time.

MyPlate now supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP) — the open standard that lets AI assistants like Claude work with your tasks in plain language.

• Ask about your plate. “What’s due this week?” “What am I forgetting?”
• Get things done by talking. Create and update tasks, add notes, set your custom fields, and share tasks — all conversationally.
• Track time hands-free. Start and stop timers and total up your week without leaving the chat.
• Safe by design. The assistant connects with one of your API keys, sees only what you can see, and every action is logged. Revoke the key any time.
